About the App
TikTak Metronome is a clean, minimalist metronome designed for musicians who want precision without distraction. It’s ideal for practicing guitar, piano, drums, violin, jazz, classical, and ensemble music.
The app functions like a simple metronome:
- Tap the large circle to start and stop the metronome.
- Move the slider to change the tempo (BPM).
- Use the + and – buttons to adjust BPM in single steps.
- Enable the downbeat option to accent the first beat of each cycle.
- When the downbeat is enabled, you can select between 2 and 99 beats per cycle.
There are no accounts, logins, or extra configuration steps — just a focused tool for keeping time.

Why I made it
For years, the same little metronome sat on my piano — a wooden mechanical one with a pendulum that swings and clicks. It wasn't clever. It just kept time, and I trusted it completely.
One afternoon it fell off the piano and broke. When I went looking for an app to replace it, every one I tried was full of menus, ads, and sign-up screens. All I wanted was a steady click.
So I built TikTak. You open it, set the tempo, and tap to start. It keeps time until you stop it. No ads, no accounts, no clutter — the simplicity of the old one, now in your pocket.

TikTak Metronome:

Any app settings (such as tempo or beat count) are stored locally on your device if at all, and are not transmitted to any server.

TikTak Metronome does not collect any data from users, including children. The app is suitable for general audiences and can be used by children under the supervision of a parent, guardian, or teacher.
